On March 31th of 1949 the British colonie of Newfoundland became a part of the Canadian Federation. 50 Years later, in 1999, this historical event was horoned in this gold coin of 1/4 troy ounce. This $100 gold coin of 1999 was minted by the Royal Canadian Mint and has a very limited mitage of only 10.242 pieces worldwide.

On the obverse of the $100 gold coin 1999 a puffin and two pitcher plants are depicted. De puffin is a well known bird at Newfoundland. The pitcher plant is the national flower of Newfoundland. On the background a large iceberg is shown. On the reverse a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is depictedd, together with the year of issue: 1999.

This gold 100 Dollar coin is offered in the original coincapsule in UNC (uncirulated) condition. This is a special gold coin and very hard to get because of the low mintage.
