Information

Platinum Kangaroo coins from various years

The Kangaroo coin is a very well-known coin that has been issued annually by The Perth Mint since 2018. The platinum Kangaroo coin has the same stunning appearance as the other Kangaroo coins. The same distinctive design is used for the coin every year. This design has been a concept for years now and is derived from the famous design of the gold Nugget from 1990. The first gold Kangaroo coin issued by The Perth Mint.

Since the Kangaroo coin is seen as legal tender in Australia, the coin has a nominal value of $100. However, the Kangaroo coin is traded for the value that the coin represents in platinum. We purchase these platinum coins from private individuals, and we offer a buyback guarantee for all platinum coins that you purchase from us. This means that you can sell back your platinum coins to us at any time through our sister company Inkoop Edelmetaal.

Design Platinum Kangaroo Coin

On the obverse of this coin, a Kangaroo is depicted. This design of the Kangaroo is based on the design of the original gold Nugget from 1990 and has hardly changed over the years. An abstract design has been added to the background, representing a shining sun. The text AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, the year and the platinum content 1oz 9995 PLATINUM can be seen on the rim of the coin.

On the reverse of the coin, an image of Queen Elizabeth II is displayed. A number of inscriptions have been added around her effigy, such as the name of the monarch, the country of issue and the nominal value of the coin.

Buy platinum Kangaroo coin from previous years

The circulated version of the Kangaroo coin from various years is a coin that has already been in circulation. These coins are often cheaper than uncirculated coins.

The production costs are not included in the price of coins from previous years, as these have already been calculated at the first purchase. This means that you receive relatively more platinum for your money when purchasing these coins. All platinum coins we sell are checked for authenticity, weight, and content.

Investment score

This product has an A-label (Our top 100 products). This means that it is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we recommend looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label means this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

Label information
Investment-score: A-label

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

Investment-score: B-label

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
