Information
1 troy ounce platinum coin Wiener Philharmoniker
The platinum Philharmoniker coin is a relatively new coin, first minted in 2017 by Münze Österreich. Unlike the gold Philharmoniker coins, which have been around for many years, the platinum variant was recently introduced to meet growing demand for platinum investment coins. Despite its young age, the Platinum Philharmoniker coin has quickly become popular among physical platinum investors.
The platinum Philharmoniker coins are made of 99.95% pure platinum. This is the highest possible purity level for platinum coins. In addition, this coin is a legal tender with a face value of €100,-. This platinum coin is traded worldwide for the value represented in platinum.
We sell platinum Philharmoniker coins from various previous years. These platinum coins are often cheaper than newly minted coins, while the weight and content are the same. The production costs are no longer included in the price of coins from previous years, as these have already been factored in at the time of first purchase. As a result, one gets more platinum for their money. All platinum Philharmoniker coins we sell are checked for authenticity, weight and content.

Obverse
The obverse of the coin features various musical instruments, including a cello, violin and harp. These symbolise Austria's rich musical tradition. In addition, the text Wiener Philharmoniker is clearly visible, which refers to the world-famous orchestra.
Reverse
The reverse of the coin shows a detailed image of the Great Organ from the Golden Hall of the Musikverein, the iconic concert hall in Vienna. The face value of 100 euros and the platinum grade 1 Unze Platin 999.5 are also clearly displayed.
Buy platinum Philharmoniker as an investment
Platinum, similar to silver, is considered a commodity, and therefore platinum and silver bars are subject to 21% VAT. Coins however, are traded under the margin scheme, making them more attractive in terms of price.
There is a growing interest in platinum, a precious metal that is particularly popular in the industry. It is used in a range of applications, such as the production of car catalysts, the refining of crude oil, in consumer electronics such as LCD TVs and computers, and also in jewellery and various dental and medical applications. This makes platinum increasingly scarce and suitable for investment.

Products with a C-rating are primarily valued for their collectible characteristics. This may include limited editions, unique designs, or historical significance. As a result, their price is often less closely tied to the underlying metal value. These products are typically chosen by collectors rather than investors focused on efficiency.
