Gold 10 Euro 2015 – The Waterloo Tenner (Proof)

A tribute to the Battle of Waterloo – a turning point in European history

The gold 10 euro commemorative coin from 2015 – also known as the Waterloo Tenner – was issued to commemorate the historic Battle of Waterloo, a defining moment in European and Dutch history. This official coin is minted in the highest proof quality, with a mirror finish that delicately highlights every detail of the design.

Artistic design with historical significance

The coin was designed by Marjolein Rothman. The obverse features the silhouette of King Willem-Alexander with the year 2015. The reverse shows the stabbing weapon of the Prince of Orange – a powerful symbol of heroism and military history.

Rare and sought-after collector's item

With a limited mintage of only 1,250 pieces, the Waterloo Tenner is an extremely rare collector's item. The coin comes in the original luxury packaging of the Royal Dutch Mint, complete with a certificate of authenticity. An impressive tribute to a historic victory – and a valuable addition to any serious coin collection.

Investment score

This product has a C-label (Collectibles). This means it is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. We consider products with a C-label to be collectibles. These are often coins minted in limited quantities, with luxury packaging and a unique theme.

Label information
A-label

An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

B-label

B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

C-label

C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
