This silver coin was minted by the Royal Mint. The special thing about this coin is that it is a so-called Piedfort coin. These are coins that are double, sometimes triple as thick as normal coins.

The silver polar bear coin is minted in 99.99% pure silver and has a gold finish. With a weight of 31.39 grams, the coin is slightly heavier than 1 Troy ounce (31.103 grams).

This silver coin has a limited edition of only 4,000 pieces, including a certificate.

On the front, you see the two national symbols of Canada, the polar bear, and the golden maple leaf. The image on the coin symbolizes the transition from the classic image on the left to the contemporary version on the right. This represented as it were the past (left) and the present (right).
