Is my precious metal insured when stored with EBN?

Precious metals stored with Edelmetaal Beheer Nederland (EBN) are fully insured at replacement value. This means your gold, silver, or platinum is covered against risks such as theft, fire, natural disasters, and other unforeseen events. In the event of loss, you will receive compensation based on the current market value of the precious metal. In certain situations, it is also possible to opt for physical replacement.

Your precious metals are stored on a fully allocated basis and remain your legal property at all times. They are not part of the balance sheet of Edelmetaal Beheer Nederland and are held under a separate legal structure. In addition, storage and insurance are subject to strict regulatory requirements and supervision by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), with regular audits conducted by an independent accountant. This ensures a high level of security, transparency, and protection of your assets.
