Design and packaging of the 5-gram gold bar Pamp Suisse

The obverse of the gold bar shows the image of LADY FORTUNA, the Roman goddess of prosperity, along with all her mythical features around her: poppies, sheaves of wheat, the horn of plenty, precious coins and the wheel of fortune. The horn symbolises prosperity and abundance, while Fortuna is depicted blindfolded. This symbolism embodies the positive aspect of fate, where fate can turn out in our favour.
 
On the reverse of the gold bar are the PAMP logo, the issuing country (SUISSE - Switzerland), the weight of 5 g, the indication FINE GOLD (pure gold) and the purity of the gold (99.99% - 999.9). At the bottom, in small letters, is the inscription ESSAYEUR FONDEUR, which indicates that the gold bar has been tested and that the authenticity and stated purity are guaranteed. The unique bar or certificate number is located at the very bottom. This number is also mentioned on the packaging, along with the purity, the weight of the bar and the official signature of the recognised assayer, who is accredited by the Swiss Federal Bureau for the Control of Precious Metals.
