Information
Gold Panda coin 2023 of 3 gram
This beautiful 3 gram gold ( collectors') coin is struck in 99.9% pure gold and is part of the 2023 Gold Panda series issued by China Gold Coin Corporation. This Chinese mint part of People's Bank of China has been issuing coins on behalf of the Chinese government for over 40 years. The gold panda coins are the most well-known and popular coins from China and are therefore loved by investors and collectors alike.
The design of the Chinese panda coins changes every year, but there is always one or more giant pandas on the obverse of the coin. Giant pandas are strongly associated with China, for instance, in eastern cultures the panda symbolises peace and harmonious resolution of conflicts. In addition, this endangered species lives mainly in China.
Design gold Panda 2023
Obverse
The obverse of this year's gold panda coins features two adorable giant pandas in a tree. The two pandas are displayed in a tree among leaves. The pandas appear to be climbing towards each other. The face value, weight in grams and gold content of the coin are also shown on this side.
Reverse
The reverse side of the gold panda coins has shown the same design for years, namely a beautiful image of the Temple of Heaven. This famous Beijing temple is an important prayer hall for the Chinese. Around the effigy, the name of China in Chinese characters and the year of issue are also shown.
Different weights of the Panda series
The gold panda coins of the China Gold Coin Corporation are issued in different weights. While most mints opt for 1 troy ounce (31.103 grams) coins and smaller denominations of these, the Chinese mint has opted for different weights in 2016. The gold panda coins are available in coins of 1 gram, 3 grams, 8 grams, 15 grams and 30 grams.

Investment score
A B-rating indicates products that are still widely recognized and tradable worldwide, often issued by reputable mints or refiners. However, the price per gram or spread is generally slightly higher compared to A-rated products. While still suitable for investment purposes, they are not the most cost-efficient option available.
Label informationProducts with an A-rating are among the most commonly traded and liquid options available. These coins and bars offer a strong balance between a competitive price per gram and a low spread, making them well-suited for investors who want to acquire physical gold or silver efficiently. Due to their global recognition, they are typically easy to buy and sell.
Products with a C-rating are primarily valued for their collectible characteristics. This may include limited editions, unique designs, or historical significance. As a result, their price is often less closely tied to the underlying metal value. These products are typically chosen by collectors rather than investors focused on efficiency.
