2 troy ounce silver Garden of the Hesperides coin 2023

This 2 troy ounce silver Garden of the Hesperides coin was minted by the Mint of Poland in 2023. The coin is dedicated to Greek mythology and represents the "Garden of Hesperides." These are three nymphs tasked with tending the garden and guarding the golden apples of immortality. 

The coin contains 62.206 grams of 99.9% pure silver and displays delicate partial coloring with antique finish quality. Also, the coin has beautiful reliefs and selected gilding. 

In its country of origin - Niue - the coin represents a face value of $5. The diameter of the coin is 50 mm and this 2 troy ounce silver coin comes in a presentation box along with the certificate of authenticity.

The worldwide mintage is limited to only 500 pieces worldwide.

Design of the 2oz silver Garden of Hesperides coin

The obverse of the coin shows a beautiful depiction of the Garden of the Hesperides - a legendary site from Greek mythology. According to the story, the garden was an orchard full of fruit trees that bore golden apples of immortality. These apples were guarded by three nymphs - known as the Hesperides. The design has partial discolorations with shades of blue and the fruits are selectively gilded. 

The reverse side shows the seal of Niue. At the top is the face value of the coin - 5 DOLLARS. Below is the inscription PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE - the country of issue, ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI - translated into Dutch: God, Niue, Eternal. Below is the precious metal type and purity - Ag 999 and the year of issue - 2023.
