This 2 troy ounce silver coin is dedicated to the black swan. The beautiful water bird with spiritual significance in the stories of many First Nations Australians. The coin has a unique design with antique finish. This unique coin comes in the presentation box along with the certificate of authenticity. Only 2,000 coins were made worldwide.Â
The design represents maali descending on the water with its huge wings stretched to the sky. The background is formed by stylized patterns of colored dots; inspired by a palette of ochre pigments used by indigenous artists throughout time - red and brown for the landscape; blue; green and other hues for the water and currents. On the reverse is the mint mark 'P' of The Perth Mint.
