To protect the coin, it comes in a clear acrylic coin capsule. In addition, a hallmark of authenticity can be found on this 1 troy ounce gold coin. A letter has been engraved into the coin with microlaser and is only visible under a magnifying glass. This makes forging the coin considerably more difficult.
The Lunar III series
The Perth Mint is currently issuing its third Lunar series. Following the success of the first two series, Lunar III was launched in 2020. Each year, a new coin will be released featuring one of the animals from the Chinese zodiac. The year of the rabbit 2023 is the fourth coin in this series.
The design on the obverse of this year's silver Lunar 2023 coins is based on the year of the rabbit 2023. Ing Ing Jong's design is characterised by a cute and detailed design.
