Design of the Australian Kangaroo coin 2024
Obverse
The obverse features a new kangaroo design, designed by Waad Robinson. The kangaroo is about to leap across a dried-out creek bed. Around it are the inscriptions 2024 - the year of issue, 1oz - the weight, 9999 GOLD - the purity and type of metal, KANGAROO - the name of the coin and P125 - the mint mark of The Perth Mint commemorating the 125th anniversary of the mint.
Reverse
The reverse features the portrait of King Charles III, designed by Dan Thorne. Around it are the inscriptions CHARLES III - the king's name, AUSTRALIA - the country of issue and 100 DOLLARS - the face value of the coin.
