The 1-ounce gold Bobcat coin from 2020 is minted by the Royal Canadian Mint. This is the latest release from the Call of the Wild series. In the Call of the Wild series each year the Mint releases a new coin with one of the animals that can be spotted in Canadian wildlife. For 2020 the Mint has selected the Bobcat (red lynx).

This gold coin contains 1 troy ounce (31.103 grams) fine gold. The purity of gold is 99.999%, which makes the Call of the Wild coins the coins with the highest gold purity worldwide. The face value of $200 (Canadian Dollars) is also a very high nomination.

All the Bobcat coins will be delivered in an assay featuring the certificate of authenticity and the coin’s specifications. At the obverse of the coin, Queen Elizabeth II is portrayed, designed by Susanna Blunt. The year of issue, 2020, is also mentioned at this side of the coin.

Just like the Gold Maple Leaf coins, a micro-engraved Maple Leaf icon is added as an additional security measure by the Royal Canadian Mint.
