Information
1 troy ounce Silver Eagle silver coin various years
The American Silver Eagle coins are minted in 1 troy ounce (31.103 grams) fine silver (99.9%). The Silver Eagle coins are issued every year by the US Mint from America. These coins are available in both UNC (uncirculated) and Proof editions. The Proof edition is popular among collectors, while the UNC coin is mainly used for silver investments.Since 1986, the US Mint has issued this silver coin annually. Certain years are very popular among collectors due to the low circulation of that year or because it concerns a ''key year''. A good example of this are the Silver Eagle coins from 1996, in this year the Silver Eagle existed exactly 10 years. This year's coins are therefore very popular among collectors. Another example is the coins from the year 1986, the first year in which the Silver Eagle was issued. These coins are also very popular among collectors.
The 1 troy ounce Silver Eagle is packed loose in a plastic coin case and they are packed per 20 in tubes. We supply coins of various years. The image shown is indicative.
Design of the American Silver Eagle
Obverse
The obverse shows the image of Lady Liberty. Lady Liberty's design is based on the iconic design created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for Roosevelt's Inauguration Medal. Above Lady Liberty is the inscription LIBERTY, to her right the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST and below her is the year in which the coin was minted.
Reverse
From 1986 to 2021, the reverse was designed by John Mercanti and depicted a heraldic eagle with a shield and thirteen five-pointed stars. All around are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - the country of issue, ONE DOLLAR - the face value of the coin and 1OZ FINE SILVER - the weight and the bullion grade.

Label informationInvestment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.
Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.
Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
