Information
1 kilo Silver Kookaburra 2025 – 35 Years of the Kookaburra Series
To mark this milestone, the 2025 edition features a commemorative anniversary design. The reverse shows a detailed depiction of a kookaburra perched on a tree branch, accompanied by the inscription “KOOKABURRA 35th ANNIVERSARY.” The design also includes a special privy mark inspired by the original 1990 Kookaburra coin, paying tribute to the first release of the series.
This coin contains 1 kilogram of 99.99% pure silver, equivalent to 32.15 troy ounces. Due to its large silver content, the 1 kilo version is popular among investors looking for a lower premium per ounce when purchasing physical silver.
The obverse features the portrait of King Charles III, designed by Dan Thorne, along with the coin’s face value of 30 Australian dollars. The coin is issued as legal tender in Australia and is struck according to the high quality standards of The Perth Mint.
With its 35th anniversary status, tribute to the original 1990 design and substantial silver weight, the 1 kilo Silver Kookaburra 2025 is a remarkable addition to both investment portfolios and coin collections.

Investment score
Products with an A-rating are among the most commonly traded and liquid options available. These coins and bars offer a strong balance between a competitive price per gram and a low spread, making them well-suited for investors who want to acquire physical gold or silver efficiently. Due to their global recognition, they are typically easy to buy and sell.
Label informationProducts with an A-rating are among the most commonly traded and liquid options available. Due to their global recognition, they are typically easy to buy and sell.
Products with a C-rating are primarily valued for their collectible characteristics. This may include limited editions, unique designs, or historical significance. As a result, their price is often less closely tied to the underlying metal value. These products are typically chosen by collectors rather than investors focused on efficiency.
