The 2022 1 Kilo Silver Note Rectangular Coin is a perfect example of the Mints philosophy. Using both traditional coin and laser engraving processes, they have produced their very first product to combine bar, coin and silver bill in one unique design. The coin is in the shape of a bar, is engraved with the image of a silver bill and has a face value supported by the government of Niue.
The obverse of the 2022 1 Kilo Niue Silver Note Rectangular Silver Coin features the iconic effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley. This commonly used design shows the Queen in profile wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. Behind Her Majesty, several artistic-looking shapes are engraved into the coin, including a triangle in the lower right corner. There is also a series of swirling lines that extend over the edges. Along the edges are the mint marks and the words In Argentum Veritas. The reverse of the coin is blank
