This 1Kg pure silver coin is issued by the Perth Mint in Australia.

Every year a new edition of the Lunar Series is being issued. Each year, - on the basis of the Chinese era - another animal, chosen for the Lunar series on the front side of the coin is displayed.

The Lunar series are based on the Chinese calendar, a scheme that relates each year to an animal and its reputed attributes, according to a 12-year cycle. In Chinese astrology the animal signs assigned by year represent what others perceive you as being or how you present yourself.
