Information

¼ troy ounce silver Britannia coin

The Britannia coin, introduced in 1987, was designed by sculptor Philip Nathan. The design features the iconic Britannia figure with powerful symbols representing the British nation. The obverse of the coin depicts Lady Britannia with a shield for protection, an olive branch for peace, and a trident to highlight maritime tradition.

On the obverse of the 1/4 troy ounce Britannia coin, you will find the following inscriptions: "1/4oz" (weight), "999" (silver purity), "FINE SILVER" (metal type), "BRITANNIA" (coin name), and "2024" (year of issue). This side is also equipped with four advanced security features.

The reverse of the coin features an image of either Queen Elizabeth II or King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings. Surrounding the portrait are the inscriptions "50 PENCE" (denomination), "ELIZABETH II" (name of the queen), or "CHARLES III" (name of the king).

Packaging

The 1/4 troy ounce Silver Britannia coins are sold in tubes of 19 coins each, and a complete monster box contains 380 coins, equivalent to 20 tubes.

Investment score

This product has a B-label (Common bullion coins and bars). This means that it is a common coin or bar that is easily tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice. Examples of coins with a B-label are coins with a lower mintage.

Label information
Investment-score: A-label

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

Investment-score: B-label

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
