Information
1/10 troy ounce Gold Britannia 2026
The 1/10 troy ounce Gold Britannia is the smallest coin in the Gold Britannia series, making it a popular choice among investors. This smaller coin contains 24-karat gold and weighs only 3.11 grams. Its smaller size makes the coin very affordable and easily tradable.
Britannia Series
The Britannia series has been issued by The Royal Mint since 1987. Both the gold and silver coins are extremely popular. Since 2018, a platinum version of the Britannia coin has also been issued. All Britannia coins display Britannia. Britannia symbolises the United Kingdom and is therefore an excellent choice to represent the Royal Mint.

Obverse
The obverse of the Britannia coin depicts a nation standing next to a shield bearing the Union Flag, or the flag of the United Kingdom, created by Philip Nathan. An olive branch that represents peace is also depicted. This side of the coin is also the side where the security features are added.
Reverse
The reverse depicts the portrait of the monarch. Surrounding the portrait is the name of King Charles III together with the inscription D.G. REX F. D. This stands for "dei gratia rex" (by the grace of god, King). Also on this side is the nominal value of 10 pounds.
Security features
As mentioned, 4 security features have been added to the Britannia coin to make it incredibly difficult for other parties to counterfeit the coin. These features are:
- Latent feature: a hologram effect where the padlock turns into a trident when viewed from a different angle.
- Surface animation: Micro details created by special laser engravings on the coin that give the visual effect that the waves are in motion.
- Micro-text: the inscription DECUS ET TUTAMENin English 'an ornament and a safeguard', around the Britannia effigy was created by means of special lasers.
- Tincture lines: a traditional art form in which colors and patterns are depicted on metal.

Investment score
A B-rating indicates products that are still widely recognized and tradable worldwide, often issued by reputable mints or refiners. However, the price per gram or spread is generally slightly higher compared to A-rated products. While still suitable for investment purposes, they are not the most cost-efficient option available.
Label informationProducts with an A-rating are among the most commonly traded and liquid options available. These coins and bars offer a strong balance between a competitive price per gram and a low spread, making them well-suited for investors who want to acquire physical gold or silver efficiently. Due to their global recognition, they are typically easy to buy and sell.
Products with a C-rating are primarily valued for their collectible characteristics. This may include limited editions, unique designs, or historical significance. As a result, their price is often less closely tied to the underlying metal value. These products are typically chosen by collectors rather than investors focused on efficiency.
