Information

5 troy ounce silver Koala Gilded high relief coin 2021

The 5 troy ounce silver Koala coin is struck in high relief and gilded with 22-carat rose gold. The Perth Mint of Australia releases a modern design of the Koala series each year. This rose-gold Koala coin is an incredibly special edition, with only 500 pieces available worldwide.

The koala is a herbivore native to Australia and is not actually a bear but a marsupial. Like kangaroos, koalas have a pouch to carry their young. However, unlike kangaroos, koalas can climb trees. Koalas consume eucalyptus leaves daily, and their bodies use a lot of energy to process these normally toxic leaves. As a result, koalas are often awake for only two hours or less throughout most of the day!

Investment score

This product has a C-label (Collectibles). This means it is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. We consider products with a C-label to be collectibles. These are often coins minted in limited quantities, with luxury packaging and a unique theme.

Label information
Investment-score: A-label

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

Investment-score: B-label

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
