Silver Canadian Collage Four Seasons colored 2023 proof coin

This 3 troy ounce silver Canadian Collage Four Seasons depicts the four seasons of Canada. Spring, summer, fall and winter: this beautiful coin invites you to step into the Canadian landscape and experience the four seasons. From spring’s bright hues and sun-soaked summer greenery, to fall’s foliage-led colour change and winter’s snowy slumber, this coin showcases the natural beauty of Canada.

The coin contains 93.3 grams of 99.99% fine silver with color over engraved relief. In addition, this coin contains the highest attainable quality for coins: proof. Several techniques have been applied to these coins that enhance the quality of the coin.

The obverse was designed by Caitlin Lindstorm-Milne and the reverse was designed by Susanna Blunt. The coin has a diameter of 55mm and a face value of $50 in its country of origin. This 3 troy ounce silver Canadian Collage Four Seasons colored coin comes in a black presentation box. The worldwide mintage is limited to 2,500 pieces.

Design of the 3oz silver Canadian Collage Four Seasons colored coin

The obverse depicts Canada's four seasons. Each season has a fixed color association and those seasonal hues reflect the hues found in nature. They are well represented in this collage, where the use of color across the engraved relief and shifting color schemes reflect nature's cyclic transformation. All around you will see the inscriptions 2023 - the year of issue, CANADA - the country of issue and 50 DOLLARS - the face value of the coin.

The reverse shows the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt. The reverse also bears a special marking with four pearls symbolizing the four effigies that adorned Canadian coins. In addition, you will see the inscriptions 1952 and 2022 - the years of her regime, ELIZABETH II - the name of the Queen and DG REGINA - the Latin abbreviation for 'by the grace of God, Queen'.

Investment score

This product has a C-label (Collectibles). This means it is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. We consider products with a C-label to be collectibles. These are often coins minted in limited quantities, with luxury packaging and a unique theme.

Label information
Investment-score: A-label

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

Investment-score: B-label

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
