Design

The obverse of the coin is characterized by the beautifully detailed design intended to give shape to the concepts of water and earth. This concept is metaphorically represented by sharks swimming in deep water and crocodiles floating on the surface. This clearly shows the separation and connection between water and earth. The two types of animals seem to dance with each other. This is highlighted extra well by the use of high relief in the coin.

The reverse side of the coin is characterized by a clean design. In the center shines the coat of arms of Niue. This coat of arms is rendered small, but on which many details are shown. Around the coat of arms, the coin has a smooth finish with the inscriptions of: the face value of the coin "5 DOLLARS," the year of issue "2022," the weight "2 oz" and the silver content "9999 FINE SILVER."
