Design of the Chameleon coins

The obverse of the Canada Chameleon coin shows the famous maple leaf, known form the Maple Leaf coin series. However, it is not the common maple leaf as it changes color when viewed from a different angle. This gives the coin a very unique and beautiful appearance. The reverse of the Canada Chameleon depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in combination with the nominal value of 1 dollar.

The obverse of the America Chameleon coin features the Walking Liberty but in a color changing way. The color of the Walking Liberty changes when she is viewed from a different angle. The reverse of the America Chameleon shows an image, designed by John Mercanti, of an eagle.
