In Chinese culture Dragons are also believed to be the rulers of water and weather. Unlike Western Culture, where dragons are depicted as flying fire-breathing destructive creatures, dragons in China are traditionally considered as a symbol of power, strength and good luck. They symbolize auspicious powers and control over water, rainfall or floods.
Each rectangular silver coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1 troy ounce of 99.99% pure silver and The Perth Mint will release no more than 250,000 of the Dragon 2022 1oz Silver Bullion Rectangular Coin.
The coin’s reverse depicts a Chinese dragon fighting over a flaming pearl and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
On the coins obverse the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, 2022 year-date and the weight and fineness are depicted on the coin’s obverse.
