Information

Silver Lunar III Year of the Ox Rotating Charm coin

A unique piece is the 1 troy ounce silver Year of the Ox rotating charm coin. The coin is from the Lunar III series and was released in 2021 by The Perth Mint. The coin features a fascinating decoration in the form of an 18-karat gold-plated sterling silver ox-shaped rotating charm.

Year of the Ox

The Lunar series depicts one of the twelve animals of the Chinese lunar calendar each year. According to this calendar, the ox bestows many positive traits upon people born during its years, which are 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, and 2021. People born during these years are considered, according to the lunar calendar, to be kind, intelligent, hardworking, calm, honest, and reliable.

Design

In the center of the coin, you will see a gold-plated charm resembling an ox. Surrounded by artistic depictions of oxen amidst floral motifs, the bead rotates around a pin that securely holds it in the center of the coin. The antique finish of the coin enhances the design even further.

Mintage and Authenticity Certificate

The coin has a mintage of only 3,000 pieces and comes in a presentation box with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Perth Mint

The Perth Mint is located in the Australian city of Perth. It is the longest continuously operating mint in the country. The mint produces coins that are legal tender and regularly mints special collectible coins in limited editions.

The company manufactures gold coins, silver coins, as well as platinum and palladium coins. These coins are highly popular among collectors worldwide, and the Perth Mint is renowned for the high quality of its coins.

Investment score

Products with a C-rating are primarily valued for their collectible characteristics. This may include limited editions, unique designs, or historical significance. As a result, their price is often less closely tied to the underlying metal value. These products are typically chosen by collectors rather than investors focused on efficiency.

Label information
A-label

Products with an A-rating are among the most commonly traded and liquid options available. These coins and bars offer a strong balance between a competitive price per gram and a low spread, making them well-suited for investors who want to acquire physical gold or silver efficiently. Due to their global recognition, they are typically easy to buy and sell.

B-label

C-label

Products with a C-rating are primarily valued for their collectible characteristics. This may include limited editions, unique designs, or historical significance. As a result, their price is often less closely tied to the underlying metal value. These products are typically chosen by collectors rather than investors focused on efficiency.
