This 1 troy ounce silver Year of the Dragon coin is the fifth issue of the Lunar III series. Produced by the Perth Mint, this series refers to the 12 animals representative of the Chinese lunar calendar.
 
The year 2024 belongs to the dragon in Chinese mythology. The dragon is a majestic beast that inhabits rivers, lakes and oceans. In addition, the beast roams the skies. In Chinese mythology, the dragon belongs to the years: 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 and 2024.
 
The 1 troy ounce silver Year of the Dragon coin from the Lunar III series has a proof quality. This is the highest attainable quality possible for coins. The coin comes in its original packaging along with the certificate of authenticity. Only 7.500 coins were made worldwide from this issue.
