The 1 troy ounce silver Kookaburra 2023 is minted in 99,99% pure silver. This coin is issued by The Perth Mint and is part of the famous Kookaburra series.
The silver Kookaburra 2023 is the thirty-fourth edition of The Perth Mint's famous Kookaburra series. This 1 troy ounce silver coin is struck in 99,99% pure silver and features an annually changing design.
On this coin a special authentication feature is incorporated in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter, only visible with a magnifying glass. This makes the coin a lot harder to counterfeit.
On the obverse side of the coin are two beautiful Kookaburra's on a branches surrounding with waratah, a native Australian floral shown. Both King-fishers are displayed in a special and detailed way. Around them the word "KOOKABURRA", the "P" of the Perth Mint, the year of issue "2023" and the silver content "1 oz 9999 SILVER" can be found.
On the reverse side of the coin is an effigy of the late queen Elizabeth II shown. The beautiful design from Jody Clark is full of details, such as the wrinkles around her eye and the tiara. Along the edge are the name of the monarch "ELIZABETH II", the country of origin "AUSTRALIA" and the face value "1 DOLLAR" displayed.
The silver Kookaburra 2023 has an unlimited production run during 2023. At the end of the year the production is stopped and the definitive circulation of the coin will be determined. The number of coins minted therefore depends on demand and the quantity of coins sold.
