This silver coin is minted in 1 troy ounce (31,103 grams) of pure silver. The Kookaburra coin of 2020 is issued by the Perth Mint from Australia and is minted in 99.99% pure silver. The special thing about this Kookaburra coin is that in 2020 the Kookaburra coin series has been in existence for 30 years. The first Kookaburra coin was minted in 1990 and for that reason, the 30th anniversary is central to this coin.
On the front of the coin, a Kookaburra (kingfisher) is depicted standing on the roof of a house or a shed. In the background, we see the sunrise. The coin also shows "30th ANNIVERSARY", on top of the coin it says, "AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA" and in a smaller font on the side "1 oz 9999 silver".
Clear attention has also been paid to the 30th anniversary on the back. This is because the design of the 1990 Kookaburra has been used, while Queen Elizabeth II is pictured in miniature above. The years 1990 and 2020 are also prominently mentioned. The face of the coin shows the face value of 1 Australian Dollar, as well as the texts "ELIZABETH II - AUSTRALIA".
All silver 1 troy ounce Kookaburra coins are packed in airtight capsules. The coins are packed per 20 pieces in a plastic roll. The coins are delivered per 100 pieces in an original box of the Perth Mint, as shown in the pictures. 5 plastic rolls with 20 coins each fit in this box.
