The Royal Canadian Mint has incorporated several security features into the coin to assist with authenticity verification. The coin's surface features radial lines that vary in width and depth, making them difficult to replicate. The reverse also features a small, micro-engraved maple leaf containing the number 26, referencing the year of minting.
