This silver Somali Elephant coin contains 1000 grams of pure silver (99.99%) and comes in a plastic capsule to protect the quality of the coin. With again a beautiful print of two elephants, this is already the 19th edition of the Somali Elephant.
With a first print run in 2004, the makers know how to make a beautiful coin again this year. This edition shows an adult elephant with a youngster walking on the savannah. On the horizon, there are a number of trees and birds flying over in the low-hanging sun. The inscriptions on the coin are African Wildlife, Elephant and 1kg Ag 999.9, referring to the weight, type of precious metal and its content.
The other side shows the year, Somali Republic and 2,000 Shillings, the face value of the coin. The Somali coat of arms is depicted in the centre.
