Information

1 kilo Koala silver coin 2014

Koala silver coins are minted by the Perth Mint from Australia. Each coin is minted in 1 kilogram (1.000 grams) of fine silver (.999). The Koala silver coins are very heavy and minted in pure silver bullion.

Koala silver coins are legal tender in Australia and therefore the coins are cheaper compared to regular 1 kilo sized silver bars. Silver coins are always cheaper, due to the VAT difference between bars and coins. When you want to invest in fine silver bullion, we highly recommend silver coins instead of silver bars.

Koala silver coin

With a diameter of 101 mm and a thickness of 14,66 mm the Koala silver coin is one of the largest bullion coins available. The Koala series is one of the series minted by the Perth Mint from Australia, well known for its purity of silver and quality of silver coins.

On the obverse of the coin several Koalas are portrayed and on the reverse of this coin Queen Elizabeth II is portrayed. Also the text Elizabeth II Australia can be found on the reverse of this silver coin.

We offer our kilo sized silver coins in an airtight protective capsule.

Investment score

This product has a B-label (Common bullion coins and bars). This means that it is a common coin or bar that is easily tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice. Examples of coins with a B-label are coins with a lower mintage.

Label information
Investment-score: A-label

Investment score: An A-label means that this is one of our most common products. When purchasing physical precious metals, we advise looking at both the lowest price per gram and the lowest spread. The spread indicates the difference between the buying and selling price. An A-label signifies that this is a favorable choice when buying gold and silver.

Investment-score: B-label

Investment score: A B-label means that this is a common coin or bar, which is widely tradable worldwide. However, a product with this label is more expensive than a product with an A-label, so as an investment in physical gold and silver, this product is not the most cost-effective choice.

Investment-score: C-label

Investment score: A C-label means that this is a less favorable investment choice compared to a product with a higher investment score. Products with a C-label are considered collectibles.
