This 1.5 Kilo silver coin (99.9%) is dedicated to the 500th death anniversary of the famous Italian Renaissance artist and architect, Raphael Sanzio. The coin is made from a full block of silver, has an impressive coloring and comes in a themed box, along with the Certificate of Authenticity.

The design and story of the painting

The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse of the coin features the detailed and colored image of Raphael Sanzio's famous masterpiece. The legend Saint George tamed a dragon and defeated it in order to stop human sacrifice. The dragon demanded livestock and trinkets from the villagers, but when they did not have enough they began to make human sacrifices once a year. This was accepted by the villagers until a beloved princess work chosen as the next sacrifice. But then the hero Saint George comes and tames and defeats the dragon and the princess is safe again.
