Information

1.5-kilogram silver Caravaggio coin “The Beheading of St. John the Baptist”

Once again, an impressive painting by Caravaggio is depicted on this coin, namely: the beheading of John the Baptist. This coin, from the Masters of Art series, is a unique piece. In addition to the impressive design, the coin weighs 1.5 kilograms of 99.9% pure silver. Furthermore, it is struck in the highest achievable quality, namely proof.

Wooden frame and limited mintage

The coin comes in a handmade wooden frame. With a worldwide mintage of only 100 pieces, this coin is a must-have for collectors.

Design

The design of the painting is derived from the original 'Beheading of St. John the Baptist' created by Caravaggio. The original is Caravaggio's largest canvas measuring 361 by 520 centimeters. The image depicts St. John the Baptist just beheaded by an executioner. Someone is ready with a bowl to catch the head while an elderly maidservant sits watching in horror. From the shadows, you can see two prisoners watching.

Investment score

Products with a C-rating are primarily valued for their collectible characteristics. This may include limited editions, unique designs, or historical significance. As a result, their price is often less closely tied to the underlying metal value. These products are typically chosen by collectors rather than investors focused on efficiency.

Label information
A-label

Products with an A-rating are among the most commonly traded and liquid options available. These coins and bars offer a strong balance between a competitive price per gram and a low spread, making them well-suited for investors who want to acquire physical gold or silver efficiently. Due to their global recognition, they are typically easy to buy and sell.

B-label

C-label

Products with a C-rating are primarily valued for their collectible characteristics. This may include limited editions, unique designs, or historical significance. As a result, their price is often less closely tied to the underlying metal value. These products are typically chosen by collectors rather than investors focused on efficiency.
