The Libertad coin is a striking coin with a beautiful design. The obverse of the Libertad coin features the National Shield of Mexico with a golden eagle devouring a rattlesnake. The image is surrounded by the text “Estados Unidos Mexicanos”, which means “United Mexican States” in English. The Edge of the Libertad coin contains a beautiful detail that also continues on the reverse. The reverse of the Libertad coin features the winged Victoria of Angel of Independence. With the proof coins, the angel is matt, and the background is beautifully polished.
