Gustav Klimt
Gustav Klimt, born in 1862, is an Austrian symbolist painter known for his highly decorative style, which were considered highly controversial in the 19th century. One of Klimt's remarkable works is 'Portrait of a Lady'. An X-ray analysis in 1996 revealed that the Portrait of a Lady was painted over one of his earlier paintings, presumably a sketch of his lover. Because of her quick death, Klimt painted double over the original portrait to cover his grief.

Design
The obverse depicts the beautiful 'Portrait of a Lady'. This painting by Gustav Klimt shows a young woman with a black beauty spot under her eye, while looking diagonally over her shoulder. A green scene can be seen in the background. The painting is highlighted by the fact that a different rectangular coin was chosen for this collector coin.
On the reverse side, art is also featured, with the design partly inspired by Piet Mondrian's geometric shapes. Several inscriptions have been added in the artwork, such as information about the issuing country through the coat of arms of Chad with the text "REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD". The year of issue "2022" and the face value of the coin "1.000 FRANCS CFA" are also visible on this side of the coin.
